The winds of digital transformation in the real estate sector continue to blow strongly. A new application, pioneered by the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change and the General Directorate of Land Registry and Cadastre, brings great convenience for citizens wishing to conduct title deed transactions. The obligation to carry a physical ID card is now eliminated; transactions can be carried out securely and quickly with digital identity verification.
Biometric Identity Verification via e-Government
This innovative system offers the possibility of biometric identity verification through the e-Government infrastructure. As a result, title deed transactions can be completed:
Much faster,
At the maximum security level,
With personal data privacy maintained at the highest level.
This development removes the necessity of carrying physical documents for ID presentation at notaries, land registry offices, or during property sale and purchase processes.
Significant Savings in Time and Labor
One of the biggest advantages of the new system is the savings in time and labor. It is expected that the transaction congestion experienced in land registry offices, especially in large and crowded cities, will be significantly reduced. In addition to speeding up transactions with digital verification, risks such as transactions made with fraudulent IDs will also be prevented.
Security and Ease of Use for Citizens
When logging into the system, citizens will be able to verify their identities using various secure methods such as:
Turkish ID Card,
Fingerprint,
NFC (Near Field Communication) technology via mobile devices.
This application not only increases security in real estate sale and purchase transactions but also significantly speeds up the process, providing great convenience to citizens.
Gradual Nationwide Rollout
The pilot application of this system has been launched in certain provinces, and it is planned to be gradually rolled out across Turkey by the end of 2025. This development is considered a milestone that will make transaction processes much safer, more practical, and faster for real estate investors, buyers, and intermediary institutions.
